Certified transcripts are important tools in any court case or legal hearing.  Certified transcripts from a transcription company is not the same as what court stenographers do.  A court stenographer uses a special machine that uses short hand to quickly record court proceedings and hearings to create certified transcripts.  A certified transcript may be the same result from the stenographer as from a transcriber, but the information a transcriber is using is from a videotaped or recorded interview or statements from witnesses, experts, plaintiffs or defendants regarding the case that the lawyer or judge will use in the court hearing that is certified.  These transcripts must be certified transcripts in order to be valid in a court of law. Legally transcripts must be certified.

“It is not so much that women have a different point of view in politics as that they give a different emphasis. And this is vastly important, for politics is so largely a matter of emphasis.” ~ Crystal Eastman
